Description: An assembled set of period Chippendale chairs with identical backsplats. Two are clearly chinese chippendale in style with carved legs and lighter color possibly beech or elm. They have been re-inforced and restored over the years but still have nicks and chips. The drop in seats have some stain. We beleive that three of the marlborogh leg other six were made from a period 18th century three seat settee and were converted in the early 19th century. Two others are also period 18th century and one is a 19th copy to round out the set. A great set of 8 chippendale chairs at a price that lower than you can get at your local Ethan Allen or Henrendon store. Al of the drop in seats have to be uniquely placed as they are numbered and the chairs are hand made. They could stand to be re-upholstored as some are stained.
