19th century Aesthetic movement screen made into a modern room divider
Description: An Aesthetic 19th century screen made of Mahogany and brass rings that one had fabric on one side. We have turned it into a modern looking room divider by covering up the upholstery tacks with maple birdseye veneer along the front. It feature brass caps on top, one of which is replaced with a carved wood replacement. This was probably built into a wall as there are dowel holes in the bottom as well. It is a beautiful and elegant touch of the past brought into the modern.
Condition: Very good with age appropriate wear and some losses. There are nicks and scratches and repairs to the wood.
