A wonderful folk art primitive bust that dates to the early part of the 19th century or late 18th century. It was probably used as a hat display but that is only an assumption. It may be the top of a Mannequin. It has great patina and bears some paint along the neck that seems to indicate a tie or some other neckware. The nose has been damaged and is largely gone.
Condition: Consistent with age although the nose has been damaged and is largely gone.
